FRINGE REVIEW:The Unraveling Tillburys

This show relies heavily on the individual traits of the assembled ensmble, specifically Martin Murphy, comedian extraordinaire, Trent Worthington, who can really tickle those ivories, and Ron King who quietly takes a back seat, trilling out his sweet music with a variety of stringed instruments.  The trio offers up a variety of melodies, including ballads, pop, jazz, modern, and the blues. Murphy adds his own antics to which gives it a comical overtone to the whole show. He involves the audience with hand clapping and sing a-longs, encouraging our full participation. Many of the songs were written by Murphy himself; some were poignant and sweet, while many were an extension of his main line as a comedian.

Four out of five stars.
