FRINGE REVIEW: Call Me A Liar

Engaging and exceptionally performed, Call Me a Liar incorporates the Edmonton Landscape (primarily Old Strathcona) to formulate a stinging piece of singing social commentary. Ostensibly about lying and it’s multi-colored coat, Call Me a Liar veers happily into numerous incarnations of entertainment (singing, comedy, agitprop) to ensure that the audience is never bored. The three performers (Vanessa Lever, Ellie Heath & Doug Hoyer) are talented satirists that successfully project their love of craft and cabaret onto the workings of the neighborhood everyone loves to hate. A great opportunity to engage your heart and head and humor simultaneously!

Four out of five stars.
