On The Web
BY RICHARD CAIRNEYYknow how everyone talks about UFOs and extraterrestrials and the conspiracy of silence about alien abductions and technology thats being used by the military-industrial complex? Well, okay, maybe its just that nut down the street who talks about it, but a U.S.-based group is taking on the role of lobbyist for those UFO conspiracy people. And they say the time that governments admit to the existence of alien life right here on planet Earth is almost upon us.
No word of a lie. The Paradigm Research Group has recently moved its Paradigm Clock forward to two minutes, 45 seconds to midnight and when that clock strikes 12, "the governments of the world will have formally acknowledged the extraterrestrial existence in our midst," and the new paradigm will begin. And what will that bring? Well, according to common sense and PRGs site, the revelation will force humanity into reappraisal of its place in the universe. And, yknow, churches will collapse and well be all messed up, spiritually.
But the UFOlogists and abductees who PRG is lobbying on behalf of will finally be redeemed. True or not, imagine the angst some poor bastard who thinks he was abducted and probed by aliens must go through on a daily basis. To have that experience validated would be a tremendous relief, though the rest of us would be totally baffled by the news.
In any event, uncertainty exists on this point and PRG is riding to the rescue of the thousands of people who have "dedicated parts of their lives for little or no compensation to pursue the truth in the face of ridicule, denial, disparagement and subversion."
PRG itself was established in 1996 by "business consultant" Stephen Bassett to provide professional services to political activists in ET-related areas. Its Paradigm Clock is used as a metaphor, just like the famous Cold War Doomsday Clock used to predict global nuclear annihilation. The PRG site serves as a resource for researchers, activists and anyone else who needs information on UFOs, like politicians and teachers.
And what a treasure trove of information! The site boasts having the largest online UFO bibliography, including books, videos and audio clips of interviews from conspiracy guru Art Bells Coast to Coast radio program. A corner of the site linking you to other sites puts you a click away from such fascinating groups as Citizens Against UFO Secrecy, the Centre for Studies of Extraterrestrial Intelligence, and Operation Right To Know.
PRG has a related website and organization (also formed by Basset) called the Extraterrestrial Phenomena Political Action Committee, which is soliciting signatures for petition demanding the U.S. Congress hold hearings into modern UFO evidence, granting immunity to those called to testify by waiving secrecy oaths theyve undertaken.
Whether youre a believer or not, these sites offer a revealing look into a subculture that is growing surf and learn more about abductees and abductors.
