UGLY RUMORS
BY SEE STAFF

Far Right savant and Reform Party Animal Ezra Levant is angry that Tory Senator Ron Ghitter has slapped the Reform Party of Canada, Levant et al with a million-dollar lawsuit for libel. The action was filed by Ghitter because of a nasty piece of Senate Reform propaganda Levant had a hand in. The mail-out made disparaging remarks about Senator Ron's attendance at Upper House functions.

But when Ron filed his lawsuit, Ezra began to whimper. Poor thing. Levant called Ghitter a big baby who goes crying to his lawyer just because he didn't like what someone said about him, in print.

Geez, it kinda reminds us of the time we wrote something about Ezra that he didn't like and he went crying to his lawyer.

You read it here first, before the hockey season began, when Marty McSorely showed up at the Oilers' office, sniffing around for a job. Ugly Rumors predicted we'd see Marty flogging programs on the concourse level at the Skyreach Centre, but Oiler coach Ron Low thought he'd give the former tough guy and alleged hockey player a job that includes wearing skates.

Ugly Rumors now has it that the embarrassing shit-kicking Marty took in Colorado last weekend has the Oilers' brain trust (such as it is) wondering what the hell they were thinking when they signed the old guy up. And Marty will be reassigned, as soon as that nasty separated shoulder heals up. Look for him on the concourse level when the Colorado comes to town. "Programs, getchyer programs!"

Speaking of job changes for former Oilers, deposed head honcho Peter Pocklington has apparently gone against the advice of friends and in favor of the advice of enemies and given up his day job. Pocklington was apparently spotted recently at a Bonnie Doon-area lounge crooning his version of My Way at a regular karaoke night.

No word on whether he altered the lyrics of the classic tune to reflect his rather unique take on business practices.
